Alternative Mute setting/feature for Windows mute issues

Many times, when I mute using Volume2 (which uses Windows volume control to mute), I get a static noise ("eeeeeeeee") from Windows. If I spam toggle mute on and off, it will happen at least 10-25% of the time.

I would like to request for a new setting/option for Volume2 to manually set the Windows volume to "0" when muting using the app, instead of using Windows volume settings to mute (the default behavior).
