Monochrome icon in Top Bar (GNOME)
I see that two other issues have been opened (and closed) on this issue for other platforms, but over here in GNOME land the icon is still colored. As it used to be on other platforms, this looks out of place. I would put screenshots of an example here, but I'm using Firefox/X11 so I can't.

Yes, I see that in #1192 we changed the coloured icon to monochrome on macOS. I'm not really aware of the trend for Linux, but on Windows I see that the newer menubar native icons are also monochrome. I agree that changing them to monochrome may make them less distracting and blend easily.
I will test using a monochrome icon on all platforms to see how it would look like.
