Hey, since there is no activity from the author and this issue was bothering me too.. I cloned the repo and managed to get it working by playing with the code a little (just commented out one check). You can add the plugin using this provided zip Alpine.js Support-0.6.5.zip . I was not able to fully test it yet so there might be some complications but so far I had no issues with it and it works perfectly fine in the blade files. Hope it helps.
