What should this feature add?
I often find myself generating 8-10 variations in a row with different models, loras, prompts, negative prompts, etc. It would be nice if i could mouse over the generations and see what settings were used for each or even right-click and re-enter those settings.

If you click on an image in the gallery and press "i" on the keyboard (or there should also be an info button somewhere on the top), it should show you all the info you're looking for. You can also right-click on the image and select "remix image" to repopulate all of the settings used for that image aside from the seed (or "use all" to include the seed as well).
Thanks very much! Thats super useful to know. The i shortcut didn't work but the rest i did find.
I was actually asking for the same sort of functionality in the lower preview section after doing a bunch of invokes to find a good prompt/settings.
Ah, O.K. I suppose you could (temporarily) save the image to the gallery (with the disk icon button) and then look up the info from there, but yeah, I don't know if there's a quick way to view the metadata on an image while it's still in the canvas staging strip.
Depending on the needs of your workflow, if you're just doing a bunch of full-image variations on a concept, you could also just enable the setting to save all images from the canvas directly to the gallery (rather than use the staging strip), and thus have access to all of the normal recall options there, and then drag the image you like back into the canvas. But, of course, that's not as great an option if you're doing a more typical inpainting/outpainting use of the canvas and generating a bunch of potentials for a partial layer.
Really helpful tips again! Can't thank you enough.
I think this would still be very useful to have based on how I've been working with Invoke so far (though only a couple weeks, so it might be my newbishness playing a role).
With so many tools out there the whole feature to batch a bunch of changes to various params is what really keeps me stuck to Invoke at the moment. Its so much nicer to set it up with 10-20 changes, let it run, and come back later to narrow it down and find a path forward.
We had roughed out this feature for v6 but didn't have time to polish it into something usable in time for release. It was a mini version of the existing metadata viewer.
Some questions to help guide the implementation:
- Would you want to see all metadata or just specific items?
- What if we simply rendered the existing metadata viewer UI as a toggleable overlay? Or perhaps a mini viewer preferable?
- Do you want to see the metadata, have buttons to recall it, or both?
From my (admittedly limited) experience so far I want to see the chosen model setup and prompt on hover (or similar) in the lower miniviewer... and then quickly be able to recall the whole setup.
