What happened?
I've installed Invoke AI, followed the instructions and did everything step by step.
When the installation finished:
- I launch invoke.bat
- I chose option (2) which is for the Browser
- I used the address it suggested to past on the browser: http://127.0.0.1:9090/
All I get is a blank white screen.
I've tried multiple different Browsers, I get the same result.
Screenshots
It's a white blank screen with nothing specific to show.

Just opened the same issue (#2169) 3 minutes earlier, I was getting worried that I had my system messed up
Same here. Version 2.2.4 working great. Updated to 2.2.5 and I only get blank screen. Any way to revert back to 2.2.4? Don't want to lose all of my images.
Chiming in here too. I've got the same issue and I also tried changing the IP & the port with the arguments listed on invoke's website. Same process I updated via the .bat zip. Everything went fine with no error messages but the webui loads up blank.
edit: I also tried --gui thinking it was my browser that might be the issue but that didn't work either.

$ ./update.sh v2.2.4 fixes it for now
And the same here. I am staring at a blank screen. I installed version 2.2.5 from the start, it was not an update from 2.2.4 Blank browser window that says in the title "InvokeAI - A Stable Diffusion Toolkit" - but everything is white as snow. I hope there will be a fix!

as mentioned by ryanccn on his thread, the updater/installer doesn't copy the frontend assets properly. Downloading and extracting the frontend files in the correspondent folder (InvokeAI.venv\frontend) did the trick for me. Hope it helps
How do you update with anaconda?
running update.bat isn't working...
open CMD on the invokeAI directory and type:
$ ./update.sh v2.2.4
Doesn't work with Anaconda.
Will Re-download and Re-Install all from scratch should work?

How do you DL the files?

It did not work. Download: You go to https://github.com/invoke-ai/InvokeAI There are three buttons "go to file" "add file" "<>Code". Open ""<>Code". There go to "Download Zip", Extract. Open folder InvokeAI-main. Open folder "frontend". Copy content, go to your invokeai folder that you installed previously, look for corresponding "frontend" folder, paste in content. Should work, but did not for me. Same blank browser window.

CORRECTION! It did work! I did not replace the "dist" folder because that was already in there - but you need to replace everything in the invoke/.venv/frontend folder and then run the .bat
Same issue in Linux, in my case, it was the invoke.sh choosing option 2 greeted with a "Page cannot be displayed" when going to 127.0.0.1:9090 / localhost:9090.
Sadly, updating and replacing everything in the Frontend folder did NOT make any difference

try adding only, not replacing. Happy new year!
I did the suggestions that were given in here and I'm still getting the following error with a blank screen.

Any clues? It has to be a race condition because sometimes this happens and sometimes it doesn't.

I can confirm this worked. Downloaded the zip, opened it to the frontend folder. Copied everything in it, pasted it to the frontend folder for the installed InvokeAI (including overriding any files already in there). Ran the startup up script, GUI was there.
Interesting, you describe the exact same steps I took with the only exception that the GUI is not there for me. A search in Github shows the same issue with some but not with others, regardless of OS.

This is why I think it's a race condition. Also, simply refreshing the screen will pull up almost every time. If you want to test if the fix stuck. Go into settings and click the "Reset UI" red button. Then open dev console and do a "Empty Cache and hard refresh". You'll see the issue again.
update.bat after installation with blank screen worked for me
Same issue. Blank screen after start.
I did the pip install and after getting as far experienced the same as the other posters regarding the BLANK browser...
The invoke.py --web script started, had some minor issues (see further down). However got exactly the same blank screen. Looked at pagesource so I could see it had loaded something. Tried refreshing but no luck. Then I tried to fiddle with port numbers http://127.0.0.1:9090 <- still no luck, then just plain vanilla http://127.0.0.1 and then https://127.0.0.1:9090... No luck. But now for the kicker http://127.0.0.1:9090 <ENTER> and then BOOM I got the GUI... I will probably run into other issues as I have only copied parts from the so called runtime directory to the install directory but at least the GUI is up. I would pay top dollar for the project creating a .deb file so I would not have to fiddle around like this. But it is interesting behavior as this looks like an intermittent issue with the blank screen. FYI this happened on a Debian 11 Bullseye Linux install. Invoke AI 2.3.0+a0
But first issue with install was the TMP directory (stopped at the 800 mb torch file), I had 1.5 TB free on my disk but the installer insisted on using the TMP partition of 2GB, meaning I had to do a LVM resizing of the temp partition - Would be nice if installer would check before installing so you did not crash midway, and even nicer if it would ask do you want me to use XXX as a temporary directory instead... I was fiddling forcing my system to create a 10GB RAM disk to solve this issue as well but ended with the LVM re-partitioning as I had the disk space, the install specs really should clearly state the TMP space needs to be XXX GB I read it as the install needed the space on disk, anyway like I mention this could be solved doing a pre check. Next problem the "Program" directory install created for runtime held all the models etc. but no start scrips, or environment so to test if I could fix error about missing models I simply copied models directory into the original installer directory, and for the next error copied the yaml file into the installer directory and that did the trick leading me to the BLANK Web Browser GUI <Goto Start of post>
Just adding, I currently have two tabs in the browser - one has a GUI the other one doesn't - They both point at http://127.0.0.1:9090/
quick fix is to use different browser. The problem is that the issue will start happening there also.. I used first Chrome, then it worked ok in firefox for some time and finally I was using Edge. today Edge stopped working... I managed to fix this on Firefox by selecting "uninstall" and there firefox proposes "refresh firefox". Starting firefox after that I got the white screen again, but clicking refresh brought Invoke AI visible

Me too, it's still broken for so long so I deleted it as well. Feel free to close this case.
