Not working following installation instructions, but where are the cache / index files?
I've followed the installation instructions except the third part, about deleting the cache and index files in my Sublime user directory. I'm not sure if this is referring to actual files with filenames "cache" and "index," but, if it is, I don't see these files in the directory. I'm looking for these files in ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 2/, and all I see are these subdirectories:
Backup Installed Packages Packages Pristine Packages Settings
Anyway, the package isn't working, though I've followed all the other steps. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: I've found a "Package Control.cache" in Packages/User/ — is this what the cache file is supposed to be? Deleting it does not resolve the problem. Still looking for the index file.
Also, the problem isn't just that symbols aren't refreshing on old files; the package doesn't work even with new files.
Using Sublime Text 2.0.2.
Same Problem, cannot find any kind of cache folder
Sublime Text can be reverted to a freshly installed state by removing your data folder. Depending on your operating system, this folder is located in:
OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3
Windows: %APPDATA%\Sublime Text 3
Linux: ~/.config/sublime-text-3
Need not clear the entire data folder, just clearing the cache folder should do, if you wish to preserve user installed packages.
Similar paths for Sublime 2 would do, I guess. More here -> http://www.sublimetext.com/docs/3/revert.html
