Updating tree and clusters without complete rerun?

Open eam12 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Hello,

I'm really loving ReporTree. Thank you so much for creating this valuable tool! I am looking to identify genetic clusters from a very large set of Salmonella isolates (>25,000) using a wgMLST allele matrix (method=MSTreeV2). When new isolates become available I want to update the tree and clusters without having to complete rerun everything. Is there a way to do this without having to completely rerun ReporTree? I'm worried memory usage is quickly going to become an issue if I keep adding in more and more isolates and rerunning everything from the beginning. Any suggestions you have would be very much appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Dear @eam12,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are working in the implementation of new features that will touch the points you are mentioning. We will not close this issue for now, but rather when the new version is released, so you get a notification.

Cheers!
