High CPU usage

Hello! This is more of a question. I was wondering what's the expected CPU usage for bandwhich? I'm asking because I couldn't help but notice the high usage. On an i7-8700K the utility usually uses around 7% of teh CPU (as reported by htop). This seems very large to me, all the more so since it's not uncommon for it to jump to 11% and often sits at 9% for a few seconds.
