empty space in between by specifying maxline

if the text ends in one line and specify the maxline more then one, their is then empty space for the rest of the lines, eventhough the text fits in one line. For Example i have text which ends in one line but i have specifyed the maxline to 3 at the same time. their is hen empty space in between az if its 3 line text but rest of two line is empty and take space.
