Finder not refreshing TmpFs folder's content
I'm not sure if you guys have ever encountered this kind of bug ever before. I always create 6GB TmpFs drive on boot and sometimes, Finder will stop refreshing folder content in TmpFs drive. When this happens, the following will happens:
-
When coying/deleting/moving files using something other than Finder (for example: Terminal), Finder will not refresh any folder's content of TmpFs drive. Files that supposed to be deleted/moved still show up in Finder. New files that supposed to appear won't appear in Finder. However, you can see the file using
lsinside that folder (using Terminal) or using other apps (for example, when prompt where to save file in Safari). Also, using Finder's Go To Folder and typing the folder path can refresh that specific folder, but not sub-folders or any other folders in the drive. -
Unable to unmount drive. Unmounting using Finder or
umount -fwill freeze the program. TmpDisk won't unmount it either. I saw that whileumount -fis freezing, the folder that was used to mount TmpFs was also gone and I could create a new TmpFs drive with exact same name. Butumount -fnever finished. Also, rebooting using Apple Logo > Restart can get stuck at black screen and I have to hold power button to shut it off.

Note: This may not related to TmpDisk
Hi @vinhtq115 is this still happening? I tried to emulate but I'm unable to replicate on my Macbook Pro. Once TmpDisk creates the disks (using Apple tools) it's usually out of my control, unless there's something that I've done wrong in passing in arguments.
It still happens occasionally when I use yt-dlp to download videos. I think that it is Finder's bug, not TmpDisk. Just asking in case anyone has the same issue.
