Support video IPTC/XMP
I'd like to request support for IPTC video data within the info path.
After some testing with ffprobe, mediainfo and exiftool - the later was the only one able to extract the metadata.
We currently need the headline, description and subject (from what I can understand that's where the keywords are).
From this test file we'd expect https://iptc.org/std/videometadatahub/examples/IPTC-VMHub-RefVideo-Rec0100.mp4
{
"headline": "The Headline (Rec0100)",
"description": "The description(Rec0100)",
"subject": ["Keyword1Rec0100", "Keyword2Rec0100", "Keyword3Rec0100"]
}
Would appreciate it if you'd be able to come with a thumbs up or down or even a rough estimated time. In case this is not a fit for imgproxy we'd go ahead and solve it ourselves. It's a bit time sensitive and I fully understand the reality that it might not fit into your plan or schedule 😄
Hey @schonert!
We are currently busy implementing the extended /info, and this may take a while (maybe a month or so). I added this feature to our roadmap, but I can't promise it will be ready in the nearest future.
Excited about the extended info! Thanks for the indication - we'll go ahead and find a different solution 👍🏻
Actually IPTC will be useful for images too!
@pySilver imgproxy extracts IPTC meta from images: https://docs.imgproxy.net/usage/getting_info#iptc
@DarthSim oh I thought this ticket is about setting IPTC data to served images. Actually yeah I can't see how it could do such thing.
