Issue with plugin "Rank Math": post status of posts cannot be changed

If you have running the latest "Rank Math" plugin and wp-statuses, you cannot change post status of published posts.

I select the "draft" status and save it, but the post remains published. CPTs are not affected from this behaviour. If I deactivate "Rank Math", the status can be changed without any issues.

Is there any quick fix like deactivating wp-statuses on normal "posts"?
