getting NO [TRYCREATE] APPEND error finding folder

Hello,

Thank you for the great tool for the first of all! Very useful. I'm working on public library and migrating mailboxes from old zarafa server to new kopano. Using latest nightly build kopano server and latest imapsync

mail:~# imapsync --version 2.200

I have successfully migrated like 90% of boxes and suddenly started to get these errors:

  • msg INBOX/Sent/286022 {696} couldn't append (Subject:[E-postkastist]) to folder INBOX/Sent: 11885 NO [TRYCREATE] APPEND error finding folder
  • msg INBOX/Sent/287192 {662} couldn't append (Subject:[Pildistamine]) to folder INBOX/Sent: socket closed while reading data from server; 11888 NO SELECT error getting mails in folder; 11889 NO [TRYCREATE] APPEND error finding folder

I checked the quota for users and there is none set (means no limits)

Current user store quota settings: Quota overrides: yes Warning level: unlimited Soft level: unlimited Hard level: unlimited Current store size: 3.03G

and it seems i can't solve it myself. What could be the reason? Last time I started the sync process, I've added the --pipemess "reformime -r7" like QA says. Now waiting for it. The boxes are pretty "heavy". starting 4GB and ending 96GB. Meanwhile, the 96GB box has like 93GB migrated already. Every time I start the process, it copies some amount of mails and fails with these errors (50 out of 50).

Any hints?

Update: --pipemess "reformime -r7" does not help with this also. And I can access the failed messages on host1

update: and the interesting thing is that after next run mails with errors are copied anyways but errors come with other mails.

The message NO [TRYCREATE] APPEND error finding folder comes from the destination IMAP server, Kopano as you said. Check the destination imap server logs. A google search brings us here to you posting on this https://forum.kopano.io/topic/4055/lots-of-append-error-finding-folder/2 We're in a trap :-)
