On Mac, can't open images by clicking on them, only through File > Open

As of a month ago, Mac users cannot open image files by clicking on them. More discussion here:

In my testing, tiff files double clicked on do open in Fiji if it is open. The work around is to double click twice, once to open Fiji and again to open the file. Drag and drop is another work around.
