This is bugging me as well, As I want to change the style of notifications on the fly, and it just cannot be done the moment this component render

Check your components. I came across with this because I have two notification components. I set the style props of the first one but it did not reflect. Turns out that the notification that pops up on my screen is the second component.

PS: make sure you dont use the same ref name for both components.
