Federation between various Known instances
I just set up my own Known instance and I really like it. I also connected it to Twitter and Facebook. If I understand it correctly it will now collect all comments/replies from Twitter and Facebook. Further other people with an account on my instance can comment on my posts. But what I miss is the possibility to connect with other Known instance so that also people from outside of Facebook and Twitter can comment, like, etc. Does this makes sense? Is something like this planned?

@schiesbn Thanks for giving Known a try! Right now, to collect the comments/replies from Facebook and Twitter, you'll need to authenticate with Twitter and Facebook on https://www.brid.gy/. At the moment a Known site can leave a comment on another Known site by leaving your comment as a status update and including the URL of the post that you're replying to. We're also working on possibilities that would provide greater connections and interactions for Known sites in the future.
OK, that's for what the " Reply to a site" is used if I write a status update, right?
I just had a look at bird.gy. Does I understand it correctly that I only have to login once and authorize bird.gy to read my Twitter stream and from now on bird.gy will post all interactions containing a link to a Known post back to my known page?
One more comment regarding federation: I would really like to be able to connect with users on other Known sites to have a stream on my page from all posts, status notes, check-ins, etc of my friends, directly comment on it and so on.
@schiesbn Re: the stream of your friends, watch this space :) This is on the near-term roadmap. We should be checking it in later this month.

Is it already in? I just did a git pull but can't find the feature... Maybe I looked at the wrong place?
Any news about this? I searched the issues and pull request and some issues indicate that such a feature might exist:
https://github.com/idno/Known/issues/562 https://github.com/idno/Known/issues/239 ...
Is this still on your ToDo list or is it already implemented and I just can't find it?
By reading the issues I mentioned above and the code it refers to I tried https://mysite/account/settings/following which gave me a bookmarklet "Add as friend...". And it seems to work, I tried the bookmarklet on another known profile, it showed me the latest post and offered me the option to follow the user. But what do I do now? Is there any page where I should see the stream of my friends? https://mysite/following gave me only a overview of users/pages I follow but not their stream and there is also no link to this page, I only found it by accident.
I have the feeling that either I'm doing something wrong (because there was also no settings option for "following", I just found it by typing it directly into my address bar) or this feature is not yet ready for daily usage and hidden on purpose.
Any advise?
It's the latter. This remains a hidden feature, although I'm absolutely set on making it available.
@benwerd Thanks for the update! I'm looking forward for the feature to become official. Great to see progress in this area
@benwerd ok, i managed to follow 2 blogs (one known on normal rss), is there a way to see my rss feed? (just out of curiosity as I know it is not yet an available feature ;) )
Refs #893
