Using PERIOD as values for RDATE in Schedule

As mentioned here, RDATE can have value as DATE or PERIOD. But currently, only DATE is supported.

Basically, I want to allow addition of new recurrence dates (using add_recurrence_time) with different end_time. Is there any other way to achieve this ?
