how can I limit the framerate ?

I want to limit the framerate of Boson X because it fluctuates occasionally and it sort of messes the timings up.

Is there a way I can limit the framerate to 30'ish without fiddling with the binary? Thanks.

EDIT: I'm running boson X on linux, and the performance drops every N seconds for half a second or so.

There isn't without rebuilding, sorry. That sounds like a pretty severe framerate drop, what sort of system are you running on?

It's a laptop. I'm running Manjaro Linux. The GPU is Nvida 820m. But there's a similar framerate drop when using the intel GPU too.

I can't think of a reason why this happens, maybe the garbage collector kicks in?

okay this is going to sound weird, but how much effort would it take to port Boson X to Amulet ?
