Enhance configure to show the modes state
Current Behavior
It is not easy to remember how one set the modes and the channels it was assigned. Specifically when you have several RC models and you switch between them frequently.
Suggested Solution
Instead of going into configure mode screen and figure out how it was set, please display clearly on the main screen (setup screen for example) the flight mode that the FC is in. It will be great if a summary of the entire assigned channels will be displayed. for example: CH5 Flight Modes: POS Hold=ON , ALT Hold= ON, Horizon=ON, CAMSTAB=ON (can be combination of NAV RTH, NAV ALT HOLD, NAV WP etc. that were assigned) CH7: ARM = ON/OFF CH8: HeadFree = ON, Fail Safe =OFF
The problem with the first request is that the mode that the flight controller is in may not be the mode being requested by the switch positions. This would make showing the flight mode on the setup page inconsistent. For example, if you switch to RTH, it would most likely show Acro.
As you are already in configurator, it would make more sense to go to the modes page. This will be much easier to see what you have set up now, as there is a feature in 4.0 to hide the unused modes. That really covers the summary that you are requesting in the second part of this too. Unless you are talking about a summary screen shown in the goggles @Ravid824 ?
I find the best thing to do is set up all models with the same switch layout. That way there is never any confusion. It also aids with muscle memory. If one model doesn’t have a feature, like LEDs or pan and tilt, I just don’t enable it or set it up. But the primary switches on my transmitter will all be used for the same function on every iNav model.
