Exception in theano_gm
Suddenly in a middle of the job last night, theano_gm produce the following exception:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/tools/centos5_cpu/hyperopt/bin/hyperopt-mongo-search", line 8, in
interesting. That line is asserting that on a particular call to generate a candidate, the set of experiments so far is coherent in the sense that the trial_ids of the results match the trial_ids of the configs.
Here we're seeing that the set of configs is actually empty (empty set bottom right).
I have never seen that happen, and have no idea why that could happen.
What (if anything) have you done to the experiment since the exception.
I suggest saving the mongodb to a backup, and then trying to restart the mongo-search... if it continues, then I'm not sure how to investigate the crash. If it fails the same way, then we can try to understand it. If it fails a different way... we'll see what comes.

Nothing ... however, I did what you suggested ... e.g. backing up the results and restarting the experiment, which generated the same error ...

ok, all I can say without access to your mongod is to suggest tracing backward (print, pdb, etc.) from the point just before the crash, to understand how the y_idxs and x_idxs get out of sync.
MongoExperiment.trials and .results should be in correspondence, for example. There aren't many lines of code in hyperopt between calling bandit_algo.suggest() and the crash... where do things go wrong?
