opening iqtree2 splits file takes forever
I cancelled the loading after 5 hours. It takes 15GB of RAM for that? consensus_iter.fasta.splits.zip
s=31,000 splits for n=1000 taxa... that's a challenging dataset, given that the number of nodes and edges can be 2^s in the worst case. You can open the file and then cancel the convex hull calculation (which aims at computing all those nodes and edges...). Then select Filter Splits in the Data menu. Then cancel that, too. Then click on the Filter Splits node in the side bar to open the configuration panel bottom left. Then you can select Greedy Compatible. This will show a compatible subset of your splits. Unfortunately, all the other filter options struggle with this dataset.
