Unable to pin program, cannot record input when set as active window.

The program only outputs keyboard input when it is set as an inactive window.

What are the 4 icons below this window? I am not familiar with these icons, but I recognize the first one on the left as shift and the second one as ^, which seems to have an unlit icon. I don't know the meanings of the other 2 icons on the right.
