Fitbit not triggering on repeat notification

I have a Fitbit Versa 2, which triggers on new notifications. It receives the first app notification once a message is received, however it does not trigger on the reminders. I tried both foreground and background mode.

Perhaps it is "refreshing" the notification rather than triggering a new one every repeat? Not sure if this can be resolved on your side / added a feature (to trigger a new notification on repeat)?
