Kyori "native" support

A lot of server software include Kyori's libraries (namely the text api) and support them "natively", but I noticed PandaSpigot does not. Is this planned? Is it possible to have native support for 1.8? I am a developer and willing to put in the work if that's something you would be willing to accept and can point me in the right direction as to how to start.
