(question) what does the touch action do?

So there are single, double and long press actions. these are very simple and self explanatory - but what does the touch action do or how can I trigger it? thanks in advance!

It's just one of the four available actions. The Home Assistant integration shows a potential use case. As far as I know is the sliding of the finger detected.
