Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. It is impossible to edit the file contents in show_source().

Describe the solution you'd like It would be great if it would be possible to edit the text in show_source().

We actually are opening up the entire API for that widget to allow complete control of it. Here is some of the testing for that:

It is on the TODO. We've looked at it and it will be a lot of work but we still plan on adding it in the near future.

From what I gather, there was already a prototype (from pre 1.0 days), something from a show_source() function, which I think no longer exists in current versions?

I assume show_source() will be a starting point? Happy to have our team contribute on this feature, once we have more of a thread to work from.
