Transfer subdomain function
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The stacks.js package should export a transfer subdomain function that any app can use. The function should accept the receiver's address and signature.
Describe the solution you'd like
For the user flow, the best would be that the frontend request a signature from the wallet that can then be sent to the registrar. Don't know if this is possible but that would mean that any app can build this process natively.
Use case
A Sigle users decide to create a free subdomain when starting to use the app, then after some time, want to get a .btc username. Because of the BNS limitations, a wallet can only have one name at a time. The user would have to transfer the subdomain first so then the .btc name can be transferred.
@janniks is there any update on this one?
Not scoped/planned so far. But we can re-prioritize if there is demand for this
That's the last blocker for us to remove the old blockstack connect, we don't have many users that want to use this feature, but at the moment they can't migrate their subdomains between addresses.
hi, I bought a .btc domain through sigle, then later transferred that .btc domain to a new wallet (company name). now I still have the .id.stx domain on the first wallet and would like to transfer it to the new one as well. Any idea when this would be feasible?
Hi, seems like there is demand for a transfer feature. 👏 We’re currently wrapping up testing for the upcoming fork. I’ll pop this back on our radar and target Q4.
Hiii I really would love to be able to transfer my id.stx which is now stuck on my STX address... help! Another user also came across the same problem yesterday.
Is this a hard feature to incorporate in? Would love to understand little more. Thank u team.
