Pixel Studio improperly saves file extensions

Open 4194304 opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

In Pixel Studio, when you export files, occasionally the image does not have the extension applied. This really annoys me when I am making art for models, as it displays a missing texture if the file is not present.

Found out that if you name the file, even when it says save as .*** it doesn't save it with an extension if you leave no extension in the box

Hello! Please provide more info. What's your device? How do you exactly save images?

I use Windows and I save images using the save to files option. Typically if you save a file in something like Notepad, if the file saves with an extension then no matter if the file extension is included in the name or not, it will always save with that extension. With Pixel Studio, even if the file extension is known for it, saving it without the file extension specifically in the name will make it save without a file extension. This is inconsistent with typical file extension save dialogs in Windows and drives me insane
