[BUG] Silent mode not working properly

Open Powsey opened this issue 4 years ago • 0 comments

Hello, this is a new bug related to Simplewall. Thanks for what you do, I love that software.

1) Configuration

  • OS : Windows 11 - Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000
  • Simplewall: 3.6.1
  • Screen setup: 1 laptop screen (main) + 1 second monitor

2) Description

The setting "Enabled silen-mode when full screen app in foreground" is not working properly. When I am playing a game full scren and I get a notification to allow/deny a software, I get pulled out of the game back to desktop with the notification popup. Very frustrating because I gotta go quick back in game not to loose.

Maybe the two monitors set up can confuse simplewall.

3) Scenario

  • Use 2 monitors
  • Open simplewall
  • Remove some basic regular software rules so you get the notification afterwards to allow/deny them
  • Enable the option Notification > "Enable silent-mode when full screen app in foreground"
  • Play a game in fullscreen mode on your main monitor
  • Wait for a notification to kick in from simplewall

4) Expected behavior

The notification is not shown. It doesn't impact the app being full screen and does not display anything therefore. On screen, we don't see anything happening. The notification will be shown once the fullscreen app is closed and the user goes back to the desktop on his own. At that time, he will see the notification once back on the desktop.

5) Observed behavior

The user is taken out of the fullscreen app and forced to see the computer desktop with the notification on top.

Thank you for your feedback.

Have a great day. Powsey
