i fixed Unleashedrecomp.exe blackscreen crash
i tried every other solution updated every redistributable and graphics driver what actually worked was going into the config and manually inputting my graphics card and graphics api
everything just worked after that
the config is located in appdata/roaming/unleashedrecomp
mine appears as this folder does not exist

the config file apears once you run the executable i only tried this solution after updating the vc redist https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#latest-microsoft-visual-c-redistributable-version
Okay, I updated to the 64x version, I went to the executor but it still says the folder does not exist

my graphic is better with DirectX so do i just write DirectX 12 instead of vulkan or?
I also have the same problem, but how do I go into the config and manually input my graphics card and api
@IGOTSONICWORKING dude thank you so much, i had no graphics card listed at all and it worked as soon as i updated the api and card. thanks man

Wouldn't hurt to try

I looked up my gpu's name in the device manager and pasted that in the graphics device then I replaced auto with Vulkan in graphicsAPI The config file is located in appdata/roaming/unleashedrecomp I edited the file with notepad++
I should also add that when I looked in the event viewer it just referenced unleashedrecomp.exe twice didn't point to any dlls or other files
@IGOTSONICWORKING Just to be a 100% clear, what was the black screen that you got, because mine was after i installed the game, with the files, and then it turned black

No in my case it didn't even want to install until I figured this out
It was just black a screen for 2 seconds then it closed
Do you know how to find out the API of a graphics card? In my case it is a GT 730 and I am trying everything to solve this same problem.

I Dunno man it still doesn't work for me and i already put it like this
I think you need to put "D3D12" into GraphicsAPI setting instead. The manual setting of the GraphicsDevice probably only helps if you have multiple GPUs in your system and it auto-selects the wrong one.
the executable wont even try to open, it just crashes. no folder in appdata/roaming either

This should be a different issue and might be related to your processor not having AVX support.
In my case I use Intel, what should I put in the editing file?

I just looked through the device manager to see what my gpu is called

This probably won't help you, because AFAIK your GPU only supports Shader Model 5.1 while the game requires Shader Model 6

What if after doing that, the file still does not exist?
