packaging: update Macports portfile

Open barracuda156 opened this issue 3 years ago • 7 comments

Updates Macports packaging.

I am not sure if the current portfile dated back to 2014 was in Macports before, but I have restored libbtbb into Macports now. https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/16538

Build is confirmed on macOS 12, macOS 11 (CI checks in the PR), 10.8.5, 10.6.8 Rosetta and 10.6 PPC.

P. S. There is no activity from @dominicgs for past 3 years, but I will be happy to add him as a co-maintainer, if he happens to be interested.

Dominic no longer works at GSG. I'll see who else on the team is available to review.

@straithe Thanks!

@straithe I have rebased now with the portfile merged into Macports master (we decided to have two variants for the port): https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/devel/libbtbb/Portfile Builds across the board (not seen in buildbots, but including ppc): https://ports.macports.org/port/libbtbb/details

Thank you! My reviewer on the GSG team is unavailable and will continue to be for a while. I'm working on finding community members to review this PR.

@straithe Thanks! No hurry.

@barracuda156 should we perhaps remove this Portfile from libbtbb since it lives in Macports now?

@mossmann This is up to you. I do not know the background how it originally came up to be. Perhaps either removing or updating is fine, just do not carry on the old one.
