Show recently updated data on landing page
To give newcomers a feeling that this site is up to date and not entirely static, we could show recently updated data on the landing page. This would probably mostly be additions of new online accounts on agencies as they are found, and perhaps we might even want to only show this kinds of updates (instead of showing all updates which could be changes in labels etc.).
I don't think Wikidata exposes that type of metadata in WDQS right? (That would be awesome)
It might be possible in some way considering there is this tool sparql-rc https://wikidata-todo.toolforge.org/sparql_rc.php?
It's not using SPARQL for anything else than selecting items I'm afraid :-/

We could deploy a API on Tool Server making such a lookup and query it with JS maybe.
That would probably be a tool that many people besides us would have use of. Perhaps we can get help building it?
I created this proposal to highlight the need of a tool like this: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Tools/Proposals#New_tool:_monitoring_changes_for_a_subset_of_items_as_a_feed
A reply on that proposal was to try the Wikidata Recent Changes API (although the site says the data lags more than 5 moths).
