Thank you for the amazing work on XIV on Mac — it's been running perfectly on my M-series Mac until recently.
I'm reaching out to request support for the newly released Taiwan version of FFXIV, officially launched by PWB (Playwith) and Square Enix Taiwan. The official download page is here:

Issue
Currently, this version does not launch using XIV on Mac. It likely uses a different launcher or modified file structure compared to the global version.
Feature Request
Could you please consider adding support for the Taiwan version of FFXIV?
This would help a lot of players in Taiwan (including myself) who would prefer to enjoy better performance on macOS through your excellent project.

That said, to temper expectations, I’m not sure if we can commit to supporting the Taiwan version of the game, depending on how different both the game binaries and login processes are. With the Korean and Chinese clients, for example, there are significant enough changes (and version disparity) that we cannot reasonably maintain both the global and localized clients at the same time.
Although I understand the chances are slim, I still hold onto hope and mainly want to give Dalamud a try.
There are no plans to support the Traditional Chinese/Taiwan version (or any other regional version) of the game with the World Wide version of XIVLauncher and Dalamud. The authentication process is completely different, and is only available to people residing in that region, so our developers would not even be able to access the systems in order to develop or test anything. Additionally, the internal data and functions of the game for those versions are vastly different from the World Wide version of the game, so all of the reverse engineering and data access systems that our version uses would have to be completely redone, again, on a version of the game that none of our developers are legally allowed to access. This is not a trivial project; it would require vast amounts of work that our team simply does not have the resources for.
If a version of XIVLauncher and Dalamud were to exist for any of these regional versions, it would have to be a completely separate project developed entirely by a separate team of developers who are located in that region, like for example the DalamudCN project does for the mainland Chinese version.
