Unexpected plugin removal behaviour in combination with Minimal theme on mobile

After a clean install on mobile (Android), tabs weren't visible in combination with the popular minimal theme. I adjusted the tab height settings to see if the element was being pushed out of the viewport, to no avail after which I removed the plugin.

Unfortunately, removing the plugin propagated some changes to the theme, which I havent been able to reset even after re-installing the theme. Most notably, introducing unwanted padding in the settings menu and leaving an empty option in the left sidebar. How should I go about resetting Obsidian/minimal to its prior state?
