Adding/Deleting elements without resetting order.

I read all the issues,doc,stack overflow entries, etc, and am still unable to add/remove items to a list without having the list reset it's order. Would it be possible for someone to share a basic example for accomplishing this? I feel like many people would benefit, as many of the issues are people struggling with adding/erasing list elements, and this library is amazing, and the community would really benefit from a quick demo, if anyone has time. thank you.
