Mobile: Feature updates Q2 2022
Summary
In this quarter, the GitHub Mobile app is planning to ship following features:
- [x] View and edit all project (Beta) custom fields
- [x] Load more code lines in PR file changes
- [ ] Lists on Android
Intended Outcome
Mobile has the opportunity to become the fastest way to get work done on GitHub and serve as a platform that connects the world’s code with creative and collaborative developers. We would like to make it a more sophisticated experience in helping people get to their work and connect the right people together so that meaningful software is collaborated on Mobile.
How will it work?
- View and edit project (Beta) custom fields
Continue to improve mobile support for the new GitHub Issues projects. Last quarter we have shipped to ability for users to view new project cards in the issues/PR detailed view and change the "Status" of a specific item. This quarter we are working to display all the remaining custom fields in the project card and users would be able to edit any of the fields when they are on the go!
- Load more code lines in PR file changes
Mobile will support expanding more lines of code in a file patch to reach parity with dotcom.
- Lists on Android
Following the ship on iOS, we will add Lists to Android to help people organize and re-discover their favorite projects on GitHub.
