Will this extension be available for VS 2022?

I know that VS 2022 has some built-in Github GUI, but it's also lacking compared to what this extension provide. Does the team plan to extend this to 2022 version?

I'd also like to see this on VS2022, since VS2022 lacks many features but sais it contains all features of this extension. see also #2634 and #2660
