Not a GitHub Enterprise Instance

Hi, I installed GitHub Enterprise and am trying to connect using Visual Studio on the GitHub sign in page. I input the enterprise server URL and get the message 'Not a GitHub Enterprise Instance' almost immediately. I am running the trial version of GitHub Enterprise - any ideas? Thanks
