CopilotForXcode stuck at Welcome screen, no authentication code on macOS 15.3.1 (Sonoma)
Describe the bug CopilotForXcode is stuck at the "Welcome to Copilot" screen upon launch. No authentication code is displayed and no pop-up or browser window appears for device login or GitHub sign-in.

Steps to reproduce
- Download and install CopilotForXcode 0.43.0 from official DMG.
- Move CopilotForXcode to the Applications folder.
- Eject DMG and launch CopilotForXcode from Applications.
- App opens to "Welcome to Copilot" screen, but does not display a code or prompt for authentication. No additional windows or browser pop-ups appear.
- Tried restarting Mac, reinstalling app, checking permissions, and verifying internet connection. Issue persists.

- Issue persists after restart and full clean reinstall.
- No hidden windows/dialogs detected (checked with Cmd+Tab and Dock).

I am facing a similar issue. I do not get prompted to enter credentials when the sign in button is clicked.
So i never see the auth code screen.

Have you tried completely uninstalling GHCP? Use the the uninstaller script found here.
I then reinstalled GHCP and was able to login and use it!
I had this issue after I installed Copilot for Xcode via Homebrew to ~/Applications (under my home directory – I'm on a managed Mac with limited admin rights).
After moving the app to /Applications (the usual shared top level folder) I got the expected auth screen and everything seems to work.
It appears the app has some hardcoded paths to /Applications (ideally it should reference its actual installation directory).
I had this issue after I installed Copilot for Xcode via Homebrew to

I just checked and copilot is installed in the shared top level folder, so my issue has to be a different one :/
