This is a bounty to create more Gitcoin Bots in new interesting scenes & styles.

Pricing

i'll pay 20 DAI per artwork that looks as though some effort was put into it, up to 45 DAI if i really really love the piece (at my discretion). if budget is a constraint for you, reach out to me here (or [email protected]) and well take it from there.

i'll pay for 2 bots per person. if you submit 2 bots and i LOVE them i might ask you to do more.

Use the 'start work' feature on Gitcoin to apply. Please post your portfolio when u apply

How to submit your work

Checkout the bot design illustration guide Also checkout the bots that have been done in the past here and here

Please place you bot & scene into a hexagon format at viewbox size 100x100 or less, just like these example bots.

Post your bot mock up to Gitcoin townsquare for feedback from the community.

Please submit your work to get paid.

and at https://gitcoin.co/kudos/new (please set the limit to 700, and leave the owner address as the prefilled one)

This season, we are going to be asking for pixel art bots! Here and here is some pixel art inspiration for you..

Note that just because we're asking for pixel art doesnt mean we want low quality. You can create some very cool/detailed things in pixel art format!

Should it be a bitmap or can it be a vector with pixel art look, I can work with little square "pixel" vectors so the art is scalable and looks like pixel art without being a bitmap what do you think?

I was planning on making a script to translate bitmaps into SVG but I 've found one! that saved time. If anyone needs it I can share it here just ask.

I made this robotdog I know it has nothing to do with other IPs but robot dog is like a meme right? I will submit the svg, I am trying to optimize it but having many rects makes it huge, like 500kb or more robodogkudos2

The script I found is not optimizing for same color pixel connected components, I will need to change it. May I submit this unoptimized version and then optimize it and repost a different PR?

Found an amazing optimize tool for this! It took my svg from 500Kb to 37kb!

Two questions:

Is there a guide or a more robust hexagon file that can be used as a template? It seems that some people's designs are getting distorted during the final minting process. It may make it easier for new designers, like myself, to get their proportions right.
After submission, how do payouts work? Do they go out in rounds like the gitcoin grants, or just kind of as they are submitted?

@owocki I accidentally submitted the kudos without checking the in-browser rendering. Turns out, there is some pretty intense anti-aliasing on the pixel art. I'm trying to fix that right now, and will resubmit when possible.

EDIT: I fixed it by manually adding some style. Seems as though it still displays a bit weird on safari, but chrome and firefox look fine
