Better mobile experience
While the site works on mobile, the floating hamburger on the the left is rather obnoxious:
hi!! @To1ne would love to work on this issue
@prashxant That would be awesome. How do you want to contribute? Will you be making design? Will you be messing around with the CSS?
We're happy to see pull requests coming this way. And if you don't mind, I suggest you do this is rather small iterations. It's (currently) not our intention to overhaul all of it at once, but rather change things step by step. This also makes the review process easier for us.
Or if you disagree, please provide us some motivation why think an overhaul is better and how you plan to address this.
I’m planning to make a few CSS adjustments — mainly placing the hamburger icon next to the Git logo and making the navbar sticky so it remains visible while scrolling. Would love to hear your thoughts before I proceed with these changes.
Hey everyone 👋 I checked the current mobile layout — the hamburger indeed stays fixed on the left side, and while it’s not overlapping, it does feel a bit distracting when scrolling.
@prashxant’s idea of placing it near the Git logo and making the navbar sticky sounds great.
If it helps, I can explore a small improvement — for example, adjusting its opacity or adding a smoother transition when scrolling (so it feels less static).
Let me know if that direction sounds useful — happy to help with a small PR for this refinement.
Hey @To1ne 👋 Since this issue isn’t assigned yet, I’d love to try a small CSS refinement — maybe improving the mobile hamburger behavior or adding a subtle transition.
This would actually be my first open-source contribution, so I’ll keep it minimal and open for any feedback or adjustments.
Would it be okay if I go ahead with a small PR?

@kushkumarkashyap7280 well-crafted PRs are always a good conversation starter.
@To1ne @dscho
I’ve moved the mobile hamburger to the right side of the header. It’s now visible when sections like /docs or /community are opened.
I also updated the color from grey to orange, as the grey felt a bit dull.
Would it be okay to create a pull request for this change, or is there anything you’d like me to adjust first?
Screenshot attached for reference.
@To1ne @dscho @ I’ve submitted a PR that moves the mobile hamburger menu from the left sidebar to the header for a cleaner mobile experience — it addresses issue #2066 .
Here’s the PR link: #2107 .
That looks nice to me!
