Add hyperlinks to slider images

How do I add hyperlinks to the slider images in Lean-Slider?

From the documentation "All top level elements inside the slider div are assumed to be "slides"", so just wrap your image with an anchor tag.

I tried wrapping the image in an anchor tag and it did not work. The cursor doesn't change when you hover over the image. Clicking results in nothing. Anyone know how to make this work?

I am having this issue as well. The slider is very nice, but I definitely need to have links on images. Any ideas?
