Set customizable alerts for Error Quota Notifications
Problem Statement
We have had two incidents in the past when we unknowingly exceeded our error quota. By default, an email is sent to the account owner, but our account owner was on PTO at the time and our team did not realize we were not receiving alerts for a couple days. We need better alerting around error quota thresholds, specifically:

the ability to send a Pager Duty alert when we reach 80%, 90% and 100% of our error quota

the ability to send a message to a specific Slack channel when we reach 80%, 90% and 100% of our error quota

Hi @tiffanyc-bb appreciate the feedback and suggestions! We don't have any immediate plans to support Slack channels or the pager duty integration, but I will relay this idea to our PM. If we decide to pursue this, will update this ticket. Thanks!

Can this customizable alert be expanded to allow existing alert mechanisms to support it? allowing individual users the ability to subscribe?
@ncraig-oc spend notifications are already configurable via personal notification settings. We would likely keep the settings to that level of configuration.

Hi @brianthi, is there a plan to support spend notifications sent to Slack Channels instead of DMs?
We don't have any current short-term plans for this but will be reevaluating as a part of Spend Management at Sentry.
➕ At Slack, we’d also appreciate having notifications sent to public Slack channels, since only certain user types currently have access to error-quota alerts. This would allow a broader set of users to see these alerts directly, rather than requiring us to forward them manually
