Add CDN integrity sha to the release notes?

Open Twipped opened this issue 3 years ago • 7 comments

Problem Statement

I have watch notifications enabled to tell me when sentry/browser is updated, but we use the CDN version in our apps. To update I have to go to the installation page on the website to find out what the integrity hash is for the new version.

Solution Brainstorm

It would be nice if the release notes on github included that integrity hash so that I can just copy and paste it into the existing script tag.

Hey, thanks for writing in! This is a great idea, backlogging it for now, but PRs welcome!

Could this be solved by expanding the browser.sentry-cdn.com functionality?

By adding a list of all releases in the root or /releases.json, adding a latest folder that links to the latest version and under each version add a folder with /latest/bundles.json maybe. The bundles.json could be the same that is fetched in the cdn-documentation (current link) Then people can use this as they want with versioning etc with som fetches and array searches.

I see you had integrity all the way up too before the 7 release (6.19.7), maybe just add that again?
