"Update available" displayed in two separate lines after choosing sd on MacOS

Problem description

"Update available" notification displayed in two separate lines after choosing sd on MacOS like on the attached screenshot:

In case when you have the newest version an empty line is added after choosing sd:

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Run Briefcase on MacOS
2. Accept the Welcome dialog
3. Now "Update available" should be visible in one line.
4. Choose your sd
5. Now "Update available" is visible in two lines.

Expected behavior

"Update available" should not change after choosing sd.

Other information

The issue is not visible on Ubuntu and Windows.
