Hey Tom! We have developed a very powerful tool that has many solutions. By focusing on exposing data in real time for customer facing applications for companies that have large (maybe also different) databases, we created a data API that can connect different types of data sources (databases, datalakes, datawarehouses, etc.) and create endpoints for any customer facing application and exchange information in real time. How do we do it? We merge all data in a big replica and then create indexed caches with the information needed by each end point. With this tool, not only you have a data API but also you separate the writing of the database from the reading, centralize your requests, and expose the needed data by each application in real time. As I'm sure your backlog is full, I fully understand if this is not an immediate priority.
Unfortunately I'm not a big discord user and usually like to keep things documented in GH for others to have a single point of referrence, my main use case for this project would essentially using it in a similar fashion to how https://github.com/PostgREST/postgrest and https://github.com/graphile/postgraphile are used with Postgres data sources but with ClickHouse as the source DB and Dozer as the API layer.
