Feature Request : Enable Cursor to work with GitHub Pull Requests Extension

Open Akshay090 opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

NOTE: We will try our best to check Github Issues, but forum.cursor.com is our main site for bug reports / user feedback. We'd recommend you post there for the fastest response.

https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=GitHub.vscode-pull-request-github Is commonly used to review Github PRs on opening the PR locally in Cursor with above extension it would be great if cursor could access the diff content.

I'm able to use the Github PR extension in cursor, but I don't have this option to view the PR and adjust it on the fly which is available in VSCode.

In VSCode this additional extension option shows up when the branch you're on has an open PR on it, and its a huge value add because I can edit files with a live diff. Please add this feature.

The issue still remains. As a workaround, I check the diff by pressing Command + P and selecting the "GitHub Pull Requests: View Pull Request Description". However, I wish the icon appeared more clearly, like it does in the VS Code interface.

EDIT - The cursor forum link above has a solution - Uninstall and reinstall 😏

@shu-pf I am not seeing this in option in my command palette. Is this coming from another GitHub extension?

This might be the most valuable extension in VSCode. Please update Cursor! My workaround is going back to VSCode and opening there. I hate looking at diffs in the browser.
