cursor-mini in text editor faltering

Ask it to do a relatively mundane formatting or obvious completion. Prior to early/mid Sept 2024 it would do this sufficiently well. Since then, it often produces one word, to which I reply with a prodding remark, like "finish the job" and then it comes through. This is since early/mid September, was not the case before.
