Cursor causing issues wit WSL

Installed cursor yesterday on Windows 10 with WSL Ubuntu that has been working without any problems for years.

After trying to code for a while I started geting:

wsl The operation timed out because a response was not received from the virtual machine or container.%0D%0AError code: Wsl/Service/CreateInstance/HCS_E_CONNECTION_TIMEOUT

After a day of trying to fix it I had to reinstall WSL and setup my environment from scratch but now I am getting /mnt/c/Users/windows/AppData/Local/Programs/cursor/resources/app/bin/code when trying to use code . as usual so it seems like cursor installation changed my path for opening files in IDE without my permission or any prompt for doing so?

Instead of productivity boost all I got is broken IDE with half baked, buggy features. I am extremally disappointed in Cursor.
