Extract notes/blocks of text?

Is there a way (or suggestions on how to add support) to extract blocks of text (e.g. Notes) rather than the main password field?

We'd like to store YAML files in 1password and extract them from the CLI.

This idea turned up when someone showed a lastpass CLI command to do the same:

lpass show --notes "file name"

I don't know if the functionality is there yet, but it's on the list of things I'd like to add!
